Fingerprint Laboratory deals with all type of forensicservices related to fingerprints, whether it be development, lifting thefingerprints from any surface, matching the samples for the purpose ofcomparison, etc.

Development of the fingerprints followed by lifting incorporatesuse of various methods such as physical, chemical or fuming in order to developfingerprints at the actual site where the fingerprints are located and then itspreservation by lifting.                    

Another major task performed is matching of fingerprints,which comprises of laboratory examination of fingerprints, in order todetermine if the questioned and standard fingerprints provided are same or not.

Our services for fingerprints are not limited here, but areextended to fingerprinting for visa/ immigration/ police clearance certificate(PCC) for different countries. We provide PCC for countries such as Australia,Canada, China, California, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and several more. Theseservices are provided under the name of Real Scan Biometrics, whichincorporates the recording of digital rolled fingerprint impression, digitalflat fingerprint impression and recording ten digits by fingerprint ink.

LIFTING ANDDEVELOPMENT OF FINGERPRINTS – It includes visiting a crime sceneand searching for the visible fingerprints, as well as the latent fingerprints(which need to be developed by special techniques) present at the location.This is continues by lifting of these fingerprints for matching in thelaboratory.

MATCHING OFFINGERPRINTS – It deals with matching the questioned prints found on adocument or lifted from a crime scene or some object, with the known set offingerprints taken the suspect or concerned person. This is done to verifywhether both set of fingerprints belong to the same individual or not.

FINGERPRINTINGFOR VISA/ IMMIGRATION/ PCC – This is done for the migrants travelling from one country toanother. We provide them with complete set of information for the same andprepare their fingerprint card, for the required purposes.

FINGERPRINTKIT – This kit comprises of various tools and equipments, whichare required to lift the fingerprints from crime scene and also to takefingerprints from some suspect/ concerned person. It majorly comprises offingerprinting ink, roller, fingerprint cards, tiles, fluorescent powders,camel hair brushes, lifting tape, superglue, scale, spraying bottle, etc.

LIVESCANAND FINGERPRINT ENROLMENT SYSTEM – It is electronic device made totake digital fingerprints. This is a much accurate and efficient method oftaking fingerprints, where there is no chance of smudging, partial prints, etc.which might be encountered in taking prints manually.

STEREO-MICROSCOPE – It isused to get an enlarged view of fingerprints, which are used to carefullyobserve the minute details of minutiae and ridge characteristics for matching.

DSLR CAMERA – Thecamera is used to take high resolution images of the exhibits as well as theresults for their preservation in records. This is specially done for liftedfingerprints.

SCANNER – It isused to scan the exhibit (document containing fingerprint/s) at highresolution, which is required to study minute details of fingerprint at highmagnification.

GRIDS ANDRULERS – These are used for marking on the document to measure thesize of fingerprint on any document or surface. These are also used for livesize photography.
