Apollo Munich Health Insurance, established on August 8, 2007, as a collaboration between Apollo Hospitals Group and Munich Health, has now transformed into HDFC ERGO Health Insurance. In January 2020, HDFC ERGO completed the acquisition process, obtaining 51.25 percent shares of Apollo Munich Health Insurance. Under HDFC ERGO, a wide range of health insurance options are available, encompassing daycare procedures, pre- and post-hospitalization expenses, daily hospital room cash benefits, complimentary health checkups, expert medical consultations, emergency ambulance services, and specialized coverage for conditions like cancer, hypertension, and diabetes.
